BSc in Applied Bioscience

Nescot is pleased to be delivering a Level 6 Degree in Applied Bioscience. This qualification is being co-delivered with the apprenticeship route, but this option is for those not already employed in industry. A laboratory scientist applies specialist knowledge and broad scientific understanding to carry out a range of technical and scientific activities in their specialist discipline: Life sciences, biological sciences etc. After completing their BSc degree students will be able to apply for Pharmaceutical, NHS or Research laboratory positions. Nescot is approved by The Open University as an appropriate organisation to offer higher education programmes leading to Open University validated awards.

Laboratory Scientist BSc Degree - Apprenticeship Pathway

Nescot is pleased to work with the Science Industry Assessment Service in delivering a Level 6 Apprenticeship in Laboratory Scientist (Degree). A laboratory scientist applies specialist knowledge and broad scientific understanding to carry out a range of technical and scientific activities in their specialist discipline: Life sciences, biological sciences etc. After completing their BSc degree, apprentice will have an end point assessment to confirm their occupational competence and achievement of the apprenticeship. Nescot is approved by The Open University as an appropriate organisation to offer higher education programmes leading to Open University validated awards.
