Thurs 29 June 2023
This special event is for students planning to start at Nescot this autumn term. You'll spend an enjoyable morning with other students on your course and your tutors, and do some fun practical activities that give you a flavour of what it's like to be a student on your course. We'll also give you a free lunch while enjoying some live music. Your visit will end around 1.30pm. You don't need to bring anything with you, except for a bottle of water, and any extra snacks you'd like.
All students will do a practical session of around 2 hours. The start time of your sessions depends on which subject you've applied for, please check the email we have sent you. If a parent or guardian is meeting you afterwards, please arrange to meet them outside the Skills Park.
You should have received an email with your arrival time by the 13th June. If you haven't received it by 13th June, please check your Junk folder or make sure you are looking at the e-mail address that you applied with.
There will also be a further 'arrival' email a few days before the welcome day itself with specific instructions for arrival. At the time of writing, listed below are the arrival times/locations that will be in the e-mail. These may be subject to change, so we suggest you wait for your arrival e-mail for confirmation.
ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS
We have a lot of people coming on the day, so please arrive at the time shown below. All students should arrive at the time stated in their email invite and below (this is so you get to the correct session and do not have to wait around for too long).
There will be a choice of sandwiches including vegetarian and vegan options, served with chips and a cold drink. You will be free to spend time chatting with other new students and relaxing outdoors while listening to our live band.
Our Welcome Day is very popular and we hope you enjoy spending a morning at college, getting to know your new teachers and the college campus, and doing the activities. However, the event isn't compulsory. If you can't attend then it doesn't affect your application or enrolment in any way. If you can't attend please click here to let us know.
