Nescot has been awarded Approved Centre status for its outstanding plumbing and heating training and facilities by the industry’s professional body, the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE).

Jerry Whiteley, Technical Manager at CIPHE who presented the plaque to Nescot’s plumbing and heating department team was very impressed with the facilities. He said, “The CIPHE Approved Centre accreditation gives Nescot access to industry support and knowledge. It’s an amazing campus and this status will enable the college to offer students and employers the training and skills needed to meet the evolving needs of the industry."

Receiving the plaque, Matt Waters, Curriculum Manager said, “We are delighted to receive this recognition for our plumbing and heating provision. Our students not only benefit from our specialist workshops and facilities that ensure their skills are up to the highest standards but also from our staff who have years of trade experience. This accreditation will help us future proof and adapt our training to stay up to date with the changing needs of the industry.”

Our Level 2 and 3 plumbing and heating students and some of our gas engineer apprentices also benefited from a CIPHE presentation by Jerry Whiteley.
