The main part of your programme consists of underpinning knowledge and understanding alongside the development of practical skills within a salon environment treating paying clients.
Level 2 Diploma in Beauty (either Technical or Merits at VRQ or equivalent) plus English and a satisfactory reference from your tutor. You will also be interviewed in the spring term by a member of the Beauty Team.
With a Level 3 course you will be able to seek employment as a Beauty Therapist in a variety of settings such as a beauty salon, health and leisure centre, hotel or a cruise liner. You will also be able to progress to more advanced courses or training.
There are opportunities for beauty specialists to find employment in a variety of areas:
Fees for 2023/2024: £3,295
Free for 16-18
Please note:
Students who are new to Nescot will also have to purchase a kit and uniform, approximately £107. Kit fees are approx. £50 for students who already have a Nescot uniform.
The main aim of the VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Beauty Therapy is to enable learners to gain the necessary practical skills and knowledge in order to provide beauty therapy treatments to the general public and to gain employment in the spa and beauty industry. The qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 and over and is designed to provide occupational competence at level 3. It also provides a sound platform into further learning at levels 4 and 5.
The units are as follows:
This course also requires you to carry out external work experience which is undertaken on days/times when you do not have timetabled classes. You are encouraged to source your own placement with support from the WEX Team and your course tutor.
