Nescot is now fully open to students and staff. Please check our latest Covid-19 information here

Nescot are pleased to offer an English and maths online course for young people aged between 16-18 who are not in Employment, Education or Training, or for those who have been home schooled and require formal certification for qualifications.

The course is called Engage and you can start straight away. APPLY NOW BY EMAIL!

It continues into July – or as soon as you pass the tests. You will have access to a range of online resources and have scheduled 'Google Meet' sessions each week with your English and maths tutors, to check understanding and work through any difficulties you have. You will also have access to an online mentoring session with a member of staff who will be your main point of contact. She will set you targets, point you in the direction of useful resources and help guide you in your course application for September.

The total online time each week is just four hours but you should spend an additional six hours working through the online resources. The more you do, the easier it will become.

In the summer term, you will be invited into college to experience some taster days*. These days will give you an insight into the different curriculums the College has to offer and ensure you are placed on the right course in September. (*subject to any Covid-19 restrictions).

When you apply to join, you will be asked to complete an Initial Assessment and submit any previous English and maths qualification grades. You must achieve a minimum of an E3/GCSE Grade 2 level to be accepted; the course does require some level of independence to navigate the online learning.
