WELCOME TO NESCOT
At Nescot we want to help you succeed in your ambitions. Our top priority is preparing you for your future, whether that’s launching your career or progressing to university.
Meet the Principal
Meet Julie Kapsalis MBE, Principal and Chief Executive of Nescot. Julie grew up just outside Epsom, so this college and community have been part of her life for years. With over 20 years’ experience in economic development, skills and enterprise, she’s led Nescot to a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted, and built brilliant partnerships with local employers, from the cruise industry to Epsom Downs Racecourse, opening real doors for students.
In 2026, her hard work was recognised with an MBE for Services to Economic Development, presented by the Prince of Wales at Windsor Castle. But ask Julie what matters most, and she’ll tell you: seeing students and the local community thrive.
About Nescot
Nescot has become one of Further Education’s success stories as we progress towards being recognised as outstanding. In January 2023 Ofsted inspected the college and rated Nescot’s overall effectiveness and every single thematic judgement as ‘Good’, which is the second-highest possible grade.
At Nescot we want to help you succeed in your ambitions. Our students value our welcoming, friendly and caring atmosphere. Reasons to choose Nescot
We’re proud to be ‘GOOD’
We were rated ‘Good’ in every area by Ofsted at our latest inspection (Jan 2023). The report notes that “students are motivated to succeed”. Our success rates are consistently above sector averages and feedback from students is highly positive. You can read the full report on Ofsted’s website here.
We’re experienced
Nescot has been providing excellent education since 1953 and we have great progression routes from entry-level to university-level.
We work with employers
We work closely with employers, giving you confidence our courses are up-to-date and provide the skills that employers need. Thanks to these links, you’ll get real work experience, not just theory learnt in a classroom.
We’re convenient
We’re a short walk from mainline train stations, Ewell East and Ewell West, with regular trains to London, Sutton, Croydon and Epsom. We’re well served by regular bus routes and we have a large, free car park and secure bike storage.
We’re winning
Many courses involve the opportunity to take part in national skills competitions. In 2024 our catering student Melissa won Silver in the WorldSkillsUK National Final. In 2025 our inspirational hairdressing graduate, Reanna Chambers, won the Association of Colleges ‘Adult Student of the Year Award’, and Charlie, our Level 3 Plumbing won Gold in the Apprentice of the Year category at the 2025 National Building & Construction Awards (NBCA).
We progress your education
We offer university-level education at Nescot in many of our subject areas. Or, like over 200 of our Level 3 students each year, you could choose to progress to university. Many of our full-time students also progress to paid employment through apprenticeships.
