This qualification provides the academic learning required to gain the Higher Diploma in Food Control awarded by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). Any Food Safety Officer or Environmental Technician who wishes to develop their career in Food Control Inspection, must, according to the current Food Standard Agency Code of Practice, be in possession of a Food Control qualification accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH).

Any Environmental Health Assistant or Technician who wishes to develop their career in Food Premises Inspection, must, according to the current Food Standard Agency Code of Practice, be in possession of an Ordinary or Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspection awarded by the Environmental Health Registration Board.

Nescot's 14-16 progression pathway is designed for young people who are currently home schooled or would benefit from an alternative to the traditional school based curriculum. The Level 2 Extended Certificate in Animal Care is an assignment-based course aimed at people looking to make a career change or simply people with an interest in the care and welfare of companion animals.

If you are already working as a Plumber and hold a level 2 Plumbing Certificate or Diploma (C&G 6035 or 6129) but have never achieved a Plumbing NVQ then Nescot has Assessors in place who can visit you at your workplace to establish your competence, give portfolio advice and help you on your way to achieving a Plumbing NVQ which is a requirement for many work sites in the UK.
