Course Overview
This qualification helps you to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to professionally carry out periodic inspection and testing on Electrical installations.
It is aimed at practising electricians who have had some experience of testing and inspection since qualifying or who require training before going onto other City & Guilds qualifications.

Entry Requirements
Periodic inspection and testing qualifications are intended for electricians that hold relevant Level 3 electrotechnical qualifications, who want to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD), learn new skills, and enhance their understanding of periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations.
What the course covers
Assessment
To achieve this Level 3 Award, candidates must:
- successfully complete one online multiple choice test (40 questions, 90 minutes)
- successfully complete one practical assignment

- IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition BS7671:2018+A2:2022
- Guidance Note 3: Inspection & Testing (8th Edition, publication date 31/07/2018)
- Pen and Pencil, Notepad, Highlighter, Post-it-note markers
