Course Overview
Our ESOL courses are aimed at 19+ adult learners who want to improve their English language and life skills. The intent is to support students newly arrived as well as those who have settled in the UK, to develop their English language skills whilst gaining qualifications to enable them to access the community and work.
Entry Requirements
We offer this course at the following levels:
- Entry Level 1
- Entry Level 2
- Entry Level 3
- Level 1
- Level 2
All learners must be assessed on enrolment to determine the most suitable level for them.
What the course covers
At Nescot we offer Ascentis accredited ESOL courses in Reading at the following levels:
- Entry Level 1
- Entry Level 2
- Entry Level 3
- Level 1
- Level 2
A full Skills for Life Certificate can be gained once you have completed all 3 Skills for Life Awards in:
- Speaking & Listening
- Writing
- Reading
The estimated time for completion of a full certificate is a full academic year.
Lessons are located at Nescot College and at Epsom & Ewell Hub in central Epsom.
We will ensure the course is suitable for you by assessing your level of English at enrolment.
Fees and funding
This course is FREE to those who do not already hold a grade A*- C or 4 – 9 at Level 2.
The fee is payable if you already hold a grade A*- C or 4 – 9 at Level 2.
