Course Overview

Nescot’s 14-16 progression pathway is designed for young people who are currently home schooled or would benefit from an alternative to the traditional school based curriculum. These students will have anxiety rather than significant behaviours. The 14-16 Unit at Nescot is not a Behavioural Pupil Referral Unit.

Entry Requirements

Students must be a holder of an EHCP.

All students must be referred by either the Local Authority or the school.

Please complete an online application and pass a referral form to your local authority or school to complete. A copy of the EHCP must be sent to lscoordinators@nescot.ac.uk

What the course covers

These sessions are taught in groups of up to eight students. The programme includes English, maths, science and a tutorial programme that references religious studies.

Students attend from 9.30am to 2.30pm, 5 days a week. A selection of vocational tasters are provided to expand the young person’s experience and widen their aspirations. The aim is to enable students to progress onto 16+ progression pathway or main college, depending on English and maths achievement.
