Course Overview
A course to help you understand contemporary digital marketing techniques. Ideal for small business owners and those interested in developing promotional tactics for their employment or business.
The qualification is designed for learners who want to develop their knowledge of ‘Digital Marketing Promotion’, those who are seeking employment in marketing, business, ICT and media as well as those who are already working within this sector who wish to broaden their knowledge.
What the course covers
This qualification will help learners to develop an understanding of how to promote a business in a digital age. This would be useful if learners want to improve their own ‘Digital Marketing Promotion’ in a real business situation, or as a foundation for further learning in subjects such as:
- Marketing
- Business
- ICT
- Media
The Certificate in Digital Marketing Promotion includes 8 units:
- Digital promotion for business
- Understanding search engine optimisation for business
- Coordinating the use of digital media for business
- Producing digital promotional content for business
- Data protection and digital media for business
- Measuring the effectiveness of digital promotional activity for business
- Understanding social media
- Online reputation management
Assessment
Candidates work through the course materials for the programme on E-Assessor PRO, so there is no need to attend the college to gain the qualification. The learning materials contain the knowledge needed to meet the assessment requirements of the courses. The activities allow candidates to practice their skills and test their learning. Assessments are based on a combination of knowledge and skills learned on the programme and work-based activities and experience.
Learners should aim to complete the courses within 20 weeks (8 Units).
Fees and funding
Most people are eligible to access our Distance Learning courses for free, the criteria below outline the requirements for free study.
You must:
- Be aged 19 years or above as of 1 August of the current academic year.
- Have lived in the UK, EU, EEA for the past 3 years, for purposes other than study.
- Not currently be enrolled on an Apprenticeship.
- Live in England, in a funded postal code within Surrey, GLA or a non-devolved area.

We may ask to see evidence of residency status and/or evidence of income or benefits status where applicable to grant funding.
