Course Overview
This Level 3 course is a progression on from Level 2 Hairdressing whereby learners study the underlying principles and advanced hairdressing practical skills required in hairdressing industry.
Entry Requirements
Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing with the majority of grades being Merit or above and a brief discussion at enrolment.
What the course covers
Candidates must complete 9 units, 7 of which are mandatory units and 2 are optional units set by the College. The mandatory units cover the following:
‚ Monitor Health and Safety practice in the salon
‚ Consultation support for colleagues on hair services
‚ Cut women’s hair to create a variety of looks
‚ Style and dress hair using a variety of techniques
‚ Colour hair to create a variety of looks
‚ Creative hairdressing design skills
‚ Perm Hair to create a variety of looks
‚ Optional units include Human resource management, colour correction and bridal hair
Assessment is a combination of on-line tests, completed assignments and practical observations.

Class times:
Mondays from 9.15am – 3pm and Thursdays from 9.15am – 2.30pm
