Course Overview
T Level programmes are designed to provide progression routes into skilled and technical employment, higher or degree apprenticeships, or university.
They will offer students a mixture of classroom learning and ‘on-the-job’ experience during a 45-day industry placement that will give students practical insights into the sector and an opportunity to embed the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom.
You will spend 70-80% of your time in the classroom and 20-30% on a high-quality work placement with an employer.
Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs including English grade 5, Science grade 5 (biology preferred if individual Science GCSE), Maths grade 4 and 2 other subjects at grade 4*. Students on this course will need to show commitment to the values of the health care sector. Once you have applied we will be in touch to arrange an interview.

The technical qualification is split into 2 component parts:
Core components:
- Health and Science
- Core Skills
Occupational specialism core:
- Supporting Healthcare
- Supporting the Adult Nursing Team
The first year modules cover:
- Working within the Health & Science sector
- Health, safety and the environment
- Managing information and data
- Scientific and clinical practice
- Person-centred care
- Infection prevention and control
- Safeguarding
Fees and funding
Please note:
- Students aged 16 to 18, or those aged 16 to 24 who have a valid EHCP, and are studying Further Education courses are not charged course fees.
