A team of four Creative Media students from Nescot are in the prestigious WorldSkills UK National Finals, which will take place across venues in South Wales from 25-28 November.
Students Matthildi, Joe, Rhamia and Chloe, will be competing in the Digital Media Production category of the competition, having progressed through college tests and regional competitions.
Julie Kapsalis, Principal and CEO at Nescot said, “Huge congratulations to our Creative Media students who will be representing Nescot at the WorldSkills UK National Finals. Thanks to their tutors, Jess and Abi, and the whole team who have supported our students every step of the way. We can’t wait for the finals, good luck!”
Julie added, “We are proud to be a WorldSkills Centre of Excellence and of all of our students who took part in the competition’s regional heats this year.”
Students at Nescot have had continued success in the WorldSkills UK National Finals, with one of our Professional Cookery students winning Silver in 2024 in Culinary Arts, and our Creative Media students winning Gold in 2023 and Bronze in 2022 in Digital Media Production.

WorldSkills UK have announced that over 400 talented apprentices and students have advanced to the National Finals. The competitions promote excellence in over 40 skills areas, supporting young people in developing the high-quality technical skills they need to thrive in their careers, while helping employers grow through access to world-class talent.
