The smarter way to study after leaving school. Not sure you want to choose between A-Levels and something more practical? With A-Level Flex, you don’t have to. On our Engineering and Construction & the Built Environment courses you get the best of both worlds. Each A-Level Flex pathway combines traditional A-Levels with a Level 3 Alternative Academic Qualification (AAQ), so you gain both academic knowledge and real, hands-on skills.

  • Direct progression to university. Through our Institute of Technology, you have clear, supported routes to undergraduate degrees and degree apprenticeships at the University of Chichester, University of Sussex and University of Brighton.
  • Guaranteed place at TEDI-London. We have a guaranteed placement agreement with TEDI (The Engineering & Design Institute London) for their innovative Global Product Design degree. This is a unique opportunity to study in East London at a world-class, industry-led engineering institute, working on real global challenges.
  • Other destinations. You’ll also be well prepared for Mechanical, Civil, Electronic, or General Engineering degrees at university, higher apprenticeships in engineering and technology, careers in design, manufacturing, robotics, and more.
