Careers in the Motor Industry

A qualification in motor vehicle studies can open the door to a wide range of exciting career paths. You could go on to work in light or heavy vehicle maintenance, motorcycle servicing or fast‑fit roles such as tyres, exhausts and batteries. There are also hands‑on opportunities in accident repair and specialist repair environments where no two days are the same.

Beyond the workshop, your skills could lead you into parts distribution and supply, or roadside assistance and recovery or develop your career within the motorsport industry. I’ve always been interested in Motorsport, it’s what I wanted to pursue after finishing school. The course has been very interesting and interactive. You learn a lot of skills that you need for a career in this industry. The tutors are excellent too. It’s been great working on the Nescot race car as a team, we’ve learnt everything that’s involved in making a race car and how it works, including the regulations.
