Brianna, Animal Management T-Level at Nescot
"From a young age, I’ve been passionate about caring for animals, so Nescot’s farm and full-time courses immediately appealed to me. At an Open Day, the Animal Studies team introduced me to the T Level course, which offers a fantastic mix of theory, hands-on experience, and workplace learning. I’ve gained practical skills like vaccinating animals and applying my knowledge directly in a professional setting. The best bit about doing a T Level is the flexibility to choose your options and pathways - whether that’s university, an apprenticeship, or employment. I’d definitely recommend it!"

Learning in the Health Hub feels like being in a real hospital or care home, and our teachers bring valuable industry experience that makes every lesson inspiring. I want to become a midwife, and this course has been the ideal stepping stone. It’s packed with transferable life skills, and the class atmosphere is so supportive, everyone genuinely cares about healthcare. Studying at Nescot has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. “I explored many courses at different colleges before discovering this T Level, which matched my requirements. I’ve always been interested in computing, and my future goal is to get into the tech industry. This course is the perfect stepping stone to help me achieve my ambition. One of the best parts is the practical learning, like building computers. It’s fun and fascinating to see all the components, how to fix them, and understand how everything works together. “I was home schooled and chose the T Level route after my GCSEs because I wanted to gain practical skills early on, and it’s been a brilliant decision. After attending two Open Events at Nescot, I enrolled in the Health T Level course. It covers both health and social care, making it a great foundation for either career path. I especially enjoy the hands-on sessions in the Health Hub, which simulates a hospital ward. We learn to use real equipment like blood pressure monitors and thermometers, and our teachers bring valuable first-hand experience to the classroom. I’d absolutely recommend a T Level. The practical skills and experience give you a real advantage, whether you’re heading into an apprenticeship or straight into work. It’s a refreshing mix of classroom learning and hands-on practice.”
