Nescot Motorsport team climbs to 9th place after podium finish at Cadwell Park

Nescot’s Motorsport race team has accelerated into ninth place in the season standings after securing two podium finishes at the latest race week-end in Cadwell Park.

It’s a strong turnaround for the team who started the season in 16th place. Despite missing a round a Croft this summer, the team has steadily fought their way back up the grid and championship leaderboard. At the wheel of the Nescot Peugeot, driver Elliot Lettis delivered an excellent performance at Cadwell Park, securing two podium finishes and placing 3rd in both races of the Student Motorsport competition.

Just six rounds remain across two race week-end events before the end of the 2026 Competition season: with the team heading back to Snetterton in September and Silvertone in October.

Supporting the team’s success behind the scenes is George Keith, Curriculum Manager for Motorsport, alongside Head of Apprenticeships, Sarah Keith. Together they provide a winning combination of industry expertise and guidance, alongside driver Elliot Lettis and the student race team.

Nescot’s Motorsport race team provides students with a unique opportunity to apply their skills in a real competitive racing environment. Places on the team are awarded to Level 2 Motorsport course learners, giving them valuable hands-on experience in vehicle preparation, race-day operations, teamwork and performance analysis.

With the new academic year starting soon, a new cohort will take over the race team seats to build on the success of last year’s students.

As the chequered flag draws closer on the 2026 season,  the Nescot Motorsport race team is determined to keep pushing for strong finishes. With two event week-ends left, the team is determined to keep climbing the grid, chasing more podium finishes and ending the season on a high.
