The Computing Department is a vital part of the college and we have been preparing students to work in our fast moving industry for nearly a quarter of a century. Our job is to help you to become a computing professional and we do this in three main ways:
Nescot offers a wide range of courses and pathways, including degrees and higher education, and our renowned Cisco Academy puts your learning at the leading edge of professional development.
We know that computing is one of the most exciting sectors to work in because we’ve been there. One of the best things about our staff is the breadth of industry experience we bring to our teaching. Our sector expertise ranges from programming systems analysts for international futures trading houses, to electrical engineering, satellite communications and website design.
You will benefit from our extremely high calibre teaching professionals. We operate an open door policy for our students and tutors are available by email outside teaching hours. We bolster this approach by keeping our class sizes small to give each student maximum attention from tutors and our courses are delivered at times to suit busy working professionals.
You will train on our two floors of modern computer suites, equipped with the latest software. The department can also boast its own specialist electrical circuit design software, multisims and satellite tracking equipment.
Previous students are working at the highest levels of the industry in specialised consultancy or in exciting roles like developing audio visual technology for internationally televised live events. The combination of Nescot’s facilities with the industry knowledge and teaching excellence of our staff will give you the edge you need to succeed in this fast paced, financially rewarding sector.
Cisco Career Certification is universally recognised as the industry standard for network design and support, enabling individuals and companies to achieve increasing levels of technical proficiency and dramatically improving productivity, customer satisfaction, and return on investment.
