• Basic HTML & Design (Desirable) – Familiarity with Adobe, or basic coding for email templates is a plus

• To provide high quality care and education for all children within our settings
• To learn the planning format supporting children’s development, including children’s interests and next steps and contribute to these plans
• Carry out planned activities with groups of children with early years workers to help support and guide
• To follow nursery routines and activities, offering attention and support to all children
• To have a small group of key children and be responsible for tracking their development with the support of the room leader and team
• To observe and record children’s development contributing to their learning journey
• To use your initiative supporting the environment and activity ideas to create excitement and awe for the children

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care
• Prepare and organize activities to keep children engaged and stimulated
• Assist children with daily tasks such as dressing, toileting, and eating
• Communicate with parents or guardians about their child’s progress and behaviour
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children
• Administer first aid and medication as needed
• Ensure that all  policies and procedures are followed to maintain a safe and healthy environment
• Attend trainings and workshops to stay up-to-date on best practices in child care

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Physical ability to lift and carry children and equipment
• Certification in CPR and first aid
• Knowledge of child development and behaviour management techniques
• Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities
• Experience with diverse populations and cultural sensitivity
• Ability to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
